Kerbside Recycling
Introducing Rupinder, who works for Smart Environmental based in Hawkes Bay. All paper and cardboard collected from the Kerbside collections in Napier and Hastings is delivered to Hawk for recycling into moulded fibre products. Perfect circular economy!
Recently WasteMINZ was tasked with reporting on Kerbside waste and recycling for Ministry for the Environment. The report provides recommendations on opportunities to standardise domestic kerbside collections of waste in New Zealand to increase consistency, reduce confusion for householders, improve material quality and reduce residual rubbish to landfill.
